Is HV0 the same as V?

I'm supposed to be HV0, but the closer I look the more confused I get. It seems mostly HV0 is lumped in with V. This is what sites will say:
"haplogroup V (including HV0, aka pre-V)"
A typical page is this one:
http://www.eupedia.com/europe/europe...requency.shtml
where stats for HV0 and V are combined. Why is that?

Simple enough. Any HV lines are parallel to both H and V.

All Haplogroup V and its subclades are HV0 (http://www.phylotree.org/tree/R0.htm), that is they will be positive for the SNP which defines the HV0 branch.

HV0 is a parent branch of V

HV0 > HV0a > V

But all HV0, if did mtDNA full sequence testing, will not necessarily belong to V, they may follow the HV0b or HV0a1 branch......
